Singapore's struggle to achieve internal self-government in the period 1945-1959 had its cost. Was it worth it? Give at least 2 reasons to support your stand.
I think it is worth it as Singapore became more independent and able to have event and things on its own and not asking other countries for help. First reason, Singapore need not depend too much on the British for riots and strikes for example the student riots, political member was able to solve the problem without any help from the British which means that Singapore can be independent on its own without others help and we are able to rule our own country and make it the way we like in an orderly manner. Second reason is that Singapore is not under any control of any countries so citizens of our own country can stand out and volunteer for our own country but must have the votes of people and that means that Singapore have talented people to rule the country and we will be proud of it and other people will also be proud of Singapore.
